Page templates and Style Guide:

Issue Page Template
Blog Post Template

Images:

Featured content sliders/Full width headers

All featured content sliders/full width headers at the top of issue pages must have an aspect ratio of 10:3 to ensure they are consistent. These should be professional, high-quality, high-resolution images and should be uploaded at 2500px wide x 750px high to cater for high-dpi and Retina displays.

Full width header images should only be used on issue and general content pages – not blog/news pages. This is to differentiate campaign and general content from more formal editorial-style content in the blog/news sections.

Thumbnail images

Thumbnail images must have an aspect ratio of 3:2. This is the aspect ratio of a standard digital camera image. These images should be uploaded at 1500px wide x 1000px high to cater for high-dpi and Retina displays. Photographic images should be saved as JPG and optimised for web. Images with mostly text or solid colours should be saved as PNG and optimised for web. This will help reduce file sizes. Images can be optimised by using the ‘Save for web’ function in Photoshop or tinypng.com. Upload this image under the relevant page under Settings>Social Media. This is also the sharing image for social media.

Website Page Tags:

Website page tags allow you to tag blog pages within the site with specific issues (e.g., climate change, transport, renewables etc.). Please note that website page tags are separate from the broadcaster, campaign and issue tags applied by the state office. Website page tags can be anything you like and are for internal use on this website. These allow content that covers the same topics to be grouped together and fed to the end user. This also allows you to show 'Related News' under an issue page. See the custom admin tag ‘Admin show tagged page [TAG]’ below.

  • Edit, create or remove any, you can also see more information of where a certain tag is being used by clicking under Name to see a list of pages in the backend or under Slug to see a front-end Tags Show page.

Custom admin tags:
